The Fourth of July is approaching fast and for good reason some of us are panicking. While the holiday is a great one to celebrate, not everyone is able to look forward to the endless platters of meat. Even if you aren’t a vegetarian, it is a good idea to keep some non meat recipes in mind for your friends who are. As a bonus, by replacing your meat with a favorite veggie, you save yourself a ton of calories. Enjoy this list of vegetarian BBQ recipes (I know I will) and have an amazing Fourth of July!
Cauliflower BBQ
While I am not a huge fan of chicken, I am of wings. There is just something so mouthwatering about the texture and sauces used for these dishes. Luckily, there is a fantastic alternative here, and I’m so excited!
Pulled Pork
If you have ever had pull pork before, then you know it’s pretty awesome. If you are looking to please some meat lovers who are looking for either a non meat, or just a healthy option overall, then have them try some of this. How can anybody resist?
Balsamic Garlic Grilled Mushroom Skewers
My mouth is seriously watering just looking at this! Balsamic garlic? Can it get any better?
Grilled Fajita Skewers

Grilled Zucchini Ribbons W/ Sriracha Marinade
The texture of this dish is really interesting. If you want to provide something unique and tasty, then try this out!
Grilled Sweet Potato and Vegetable Skewers
I love this twist on a veggie BBQ skewer. Normally I avoid them because they can taste a little bitter but this completely fixes that issue by adding a sweet treat.
Vegetarian BBQ Burgers
We definitely can’t have a BBQ round up without burgers! If you’re looking to grill up some amazing burgers, then keep this recipe in mind.
Black Bean Veggie Burger W/Chipotle Honey
I have always been a fan of black bean burgers and this is no exception. I love how the author of this recipe really makes the burger so aesthetically pleasing!
Cauliflower & Chickpea Tacos W/Lime Slaw
Combine the best dishes into one with this recipe that includes taco shells, lime slaw and even cauliflower!
Hawaiian Tofu Bowls
Growing up with so much Pacific Islander foods it is almost a shock to see a vegetarian spin on one of the dishes.
Smoky BBQ Sweet Potato Chickpea Burgers
How have I not thought of this combo before!? Sweet potato and chickpeas? Thank you! Although this has escaped me until now, I’m pretty sure I’ll be sick of it by the end of grilling season.
BBQ Tofu W/Caramelized Onions
Caramelized onions are for sure a favorite of mine, especially in pasta. I bet they taste even better with tofu!
Teriyaki Burgers
I highly recommend trying this yummy, classic teriyaki style veggie burger, because it’s got everything you want without meat.
Roasted Cauliflower Pizza
While I have never had BBQ pizza for Fourth of July before, this is such a genius idea!
