Wanting to add more color to my Christmas decor this year, I chose a red and white gingerbread Christmas tree theme.
Gingerbread cookies evoke a sense of nostalgia as I associate them with fond childhood memories of baking and decorating with my sister.
By incorporating this theme into my Christmas tree, I can celebrate those cherished memories and the joy of togetherness during the festive season.

About My Christmas Tree
The Christmas tree featured throughout this post is the gorgeous
8′ King Flock Artificial Christmas Tree by King of Christmas.
This Christmas tree features a stunning flocked design that mimics the look of snow-covered branches, creating a winter wonderland effect.
With its ample height and realistic appearance, it serves as a beautiful centerpiece for holiday decorations. The tree is easy to assemble and designed for durability, making it a perfect choice for festive celebrations year after year.

I decided to go with the pre-lit version, and I’m so happy I did! To connect the lights, you just need to combine the sections of the tree. No searching through the branches for plugs!

The flocking fallout was minimal, and I was able to vacuum it all up in less than one minute. So if you like to keep your home super clean, you won’t have to worry about constantly cleaning up after this tree.
Fluffing was also a breeze! The photo above shows the tree after minimal flocking. As you can see, it’s almost ready for ornaments.

How to Decorate a Red and White Gingerbread Christmas tree
Color Scheme Techniques
When decorating a red and white Christmas tree, I tend to lean more towards one color depending on the color of my tree and whether it’s flocked.
I like to add more red ornaments to white and flocked trees to give them a festive, colorful appearance. If you use a traditional unflocked tree, I recommend leaning towards white ornaments to achieve a bright and crisp look.

Lighting Options
I love using pre-lit trees as they save a ton of time. The Christmas tree I’m using features 900 warm LED lights and it really ups the coziness factor in my living room.
I enjoy switching through the various lighting settings depending on my mood!

Ornaments
I chose a mix of textures for my ornaments, including patterns, fabric, glitter, shiny, smooth, and matte styles. Most ornaments follow the red and white theme, and I tried to minimize the green accents as much as possible.
Naturally, the gingerbread theme includes brown gingerbread, so I used that as a neutral to tie everything together and add warmth to my tree.

Tree Toppers
While there are many adorable gingerbread-themed toppers, I decided to stick with the red-and-white color scheme by using a simple red-and-white bow.

Tree Skirts & Collars
Just like the tree topper, I decided against the gingerbread-themed tree collars I found online because they weren’t predominantly red or white. I chose a simple white collar that adds a clean look to my tree.

Ribbons, Florals, & Garlands
I was going to use red bows throughout this tree until I came across the cutest peppermint garland that perfectly tied the red and white gingerbread theme together.
I included a mix of large white and red poinsettias for florals that add a classy, organic feel.

Where I Got My Tree & Ornaments
I had a blast designing this Christmas tree and can’t wait for my friends and family to see it! I hope this post inspires you to add a nice pop of color to your holiday decor this year.
The featured tree is from King of Christmas, and I absolutely love it! It’s by far the best Christmas tree I’ve ever owned. The flocking gives the tree such a lovely, fluffy appearance, and it is easy to put together. I can see this tree lasting me many, many holiday seasons.
The ornaments are all from Decorator’s Warehouse, but unfortunately, I don’t recommend ordering from them. They’re charming, but the quality is poor, and the prices are incredibly high despite not being made in the USA. The customer service is severely lacking as well. I received a damaged ornament and still haven’t heard back after a month and three emails.
