My office is so much more than just a place to work. It is where I dive into my favorite books, unwind with coloring books, catch up on shows, and lose myself in music. Because this room holds space for so many of my favorite hobbies, giving it a cozy autumn refresh as the weather turns crisp makes spending time here feel even more magical.
In this post, I share how I transformed my desk and bookshelf into a warm seasonal sanctuary with draped garlands, live mini pumpkins, and rich fall candles. Read on to see how vibrant fall decor pieces transformed this corner into the coziest spot in the house.

Displaying your favorite fall reads and coloring books with the covers facing out is an easy way to let your current stack double as seasonal art. I love to prop mine right against the other books on my shelf, using what I already own to instantly bring in a warm pop of autumn color without spending a dime.

Small framed fall art is a wonderful way to bring seasonal charm into your space without cluttering your surfaces. I love to lean my small framed art pieces directly against stacks of books on my bookshelf to prop them up for easy display, creating an effortless, layered look.
I also styled the bookshelf (Sequence Shelves from UPLIFT in bamboo) with an adorable plush beige pumpkin pillow from Costco, which adds the coziest texture to the space. It brings such a soft, tactile element right alongside the books and garlands.

Now, let’s move on to the desk decorating! Featured here is my husband’s desk: the 60×30 Uplift V3 standing desk in wide plank walnut, which gives the space a gorgeous, rich wooden foundation. It anchors the whole room and pairs so well with all the warm autumn decor.

Having my desk fully decorated for fall completely changes my motivation levels when it is time to exercise. Walking on my walking pad while looking at my cozy setup, a lit candle, and live mini pumpkins makes moving my body feel less like a workout and more like a treat. It turns my daily movement routine into the most relaxing part of the day.
My walking pad is from UPLIFT Desk, and it fits seamlessly right underneath my standing desk. It makes it so easy to stay active while getting things done.

I recently started using this gorgeous candle warmer, and it has completely changed how I enjoy my favorite scents at home. Instead of lighting a wick, I set my favorite jar right on the warmer, and it gently melts the wax to release the most incredible, rich aroma that fills the entire room.
This has been an absolute game-changer for me, especially because I run it while my husband is home since he doesn’t like the smoky burning smell that comes with traditional candle lighting.
I have personally been loving the Village Candle “Spiced Vanilla Apple” scent, and it has officially become my new favorite. Having that cozy fragrance burning while my desk is decorated makes me love exercising on my walking pad so much more.

I also love scattering live mini pumpkins in various colors all around the office to bring in that authentic autumn texture. I picked mine up from Costco, and they come in the prettiest mix of classic orange, patterned greens, and soft whites. Placing them in desk corners and along the bookshelf adds such a charming, organic touch.

To supplement the real candles and the warmer, I also like to mix in flameless options for extra ambient lighting around the room. Mine are from the brand Luminara, which is known for having some of the most realistic-looking moving flames on the market. They offer both battery-operated and rechargeable versions, with the battery-powered candles being the more budget-friendly route if you want to stock up.
Placing a few of these around my office gives me that soft, flicker-lit glow, safely tucked behind my books and decor, without worrying about an open flame.

To tie the whole autumn aesthetic together, garlands are absolute perfection for decorating desks, bookshelves, and floating shelves. I got my garlands from Amazon, and they actually come in a convenient six-pack, which gives you plenty of length to drape across multiple surfaces. Weaving them along the back of a desk or lining the front of your bookshelves instantly adds that lush, full, layered fall look to every corner of the room.

To finish off the entire look, adding a seasonal coffee mug right on the desk brings that final touch of cozy personality. Mine is a Snoopy Halloween mug from HomeGoods, and it is the absolute cutest addition to my workspace. Sitting it next to my keyboard while I work or sip something warm makes the whole autumn setup feel complete and uniquely mine.
