Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye Cream
One of the most important things you can do is invest in your eye area. Slap the wrong thing on and you could end up with tiny white bumps (yes, I found this out the hard way). Investing doesn’t mean you have to pay a fortune though. Compared to other eye creams, this is quite the steal at around $18. It’s moisturizing, anti-aging and perfect for those who have sensitive skin.
Weleda Skin Food
By this point, I’m sure you’ve heard a ton about this product. You can find it at many grocery stores like Sprouts and Whole Foods in the ‘beauty’ section. As a dry skinned individual who lives in the desert, I’m pretty big fan of this product. At under $10 a pop, you have a tube of moisturizer that you only need a little bit at a time of to get it working on your face.
Feeling Beautiful Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask
I’ve loved this product for YEARS at this point; I’m pretty sure it has been over 10 years. What I like about it so much is that it is very easy on the skin and feels super creamy. The best part is that it is under $5.
Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel With Aloe
What a long name! This facial toner is actually something that I didn’t find on my own. A couple of years back my sister recommended to me. As any good sister would, I ignored her recommendation for a while until I accidentally came across it in the grocery. It was pretty cheap at around $7 so I figured I could at least try it and give her my feedback. To my surprise, the toner was totally awesome. If you’re thinking of trying it out and want the absolute best deal, you can buy it in bulk on Amazon.
SheaMoisture Pure Virgin Coconut Oil
Being half Filipina, it is no wonder that I am a serial user of coconut oil. You can seriously use it on SO MANY parts of your body. You can put it all over your face to take off your makeup, put a little on any part of your skin as a moisturizer, mix it into a DIY skincare gift for a friend, put it on your hair for added moisture and shine, and you can eat it for skincare benefits as well! If you’re a lover of single or minimal ingredient products, this is definitely going to be a holy grail for you. With skin being your largest organ, it is important to know exactly what is being absorbed into it.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
If you’re the sort of person who wants potent active ingredients with no frills and no extra markup, The Ordinary is a brand you’re going to absolutely fall for. To add extra moisture into your skin, Hyaluronic Acid’s ability to hold 1,000x its weight in water will get your skin looking plump and younger in no time. You’ll be saying goodbye to your $65 serums and saying hello to $8 moisture.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
While this is going to be one of the pricier products on this list, you can trust me because it is totally worth it. Glossier is another brand that had been recommended to me by my sister and like her other suggestion, this one was totally on point. If coconut oil is too difficult for you to wash of your face but you want something that will dissolve your makeup just as effectively, then this is your cleanser. At $18 per bottle, not only do you get a makeup remover, you can use it on wet skin in the morning to create the perfect base for your makeup.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
Witch hazel not hardcore enough for you? That’s okay because this awesome toner by The Ordinary costs about the same at around $9.50 per bottle and you get a ton of product. It exfoliates gently to improves your skin’s texture and is gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Mint Julep Natural Face Scrub
Some people want a product that they can really work into their face to get rid of dead skin. If you enjoy that wonderful fresh and tingly sensation when you put on face products, you’re going to love this. For under $5 you get a large tube that’ll last you for weeks.
From experience, price doesn’t mean higher quality when it comes to skincare. While this makes it difficult at times to find quality products, when you find one that is as affordable as these you’ll be doing your happy dance every time you go to checkout.
