There are definitely some times in life when you find yourself working so much that it takes a toll on your skin. If you have dry skin like me, then you find yourself having to do a little extra to get that glow on and the bedtime skincare products you use can make all the difference.
I’ve been testing a bunch of bedtime skincare products lately, but cautiously as I recently had the craziest cystic acne breakout that left my chin looking like a little planet. Thankfully that’s over after some essential oil remedies like my manuka homemade scrub, and now it’s time to get my skin refreshed for summer.
My favorite time to take care of my skin is right before I go to bed. I think of it as a relaxing moment just for myself. No worries about work, cleaning or anything. Also, I can really add some extra moisturizer without concern about looking like I dipped my head in coconut oil!
The Bedtime Glow Routine
When you have dry skin on the verge of breakouts, it’s important to only use products that are gentle and natural to avoid irritating your skin. These products from Nyakio have seriously been sent from the heavens to calm down my skin and help it look smooth and healthy.
3 Bedtime Skincare Products

I found this face polish great for removing dead skin and even moisturizing my skin. I use this right after cleaning the makeup off my face.

Shea Butter –Â Moisturizes, helps smooth out skin, and reduces inflammation.
Coconut Oil –Â Antibacterial, anti-fungal, and moisturizes.
After exfoliating, I apply this eye cream by squeezing a small amount of product from the tube and working it into my under eye area for about 20 seconds.
Chamomile Soothing Sleep Mask
Key Ingredients:
Chamomile –Â Anti-septic and anti-inflammatory.
Calendula –Â Anti-septic, increases blood flow, and antimicrobial.
Aloe Vera –Â Anti-inflammatory, lightens skin, slow aging, and fights acne.
The last step before bedtime is this soothing sleep mask. I dispense about a quarter size into my hands, then work the product into my face and neck. What I really love about this nighttime moisturizer is that it absorbs very fast and allows me to go to sleep right after applying.
