Halloween Chocolate M&M Cookies

Spooky Season is here, and I’m conjuring up the ultimate treat for your Halloween festivities: thick, fudgy Chocolate M&M Cookies loaded with ghoulish sprinkles and edible eyes! These cookies are frightfully easy to make and guaranteed to disappear faster than a ghost at midnight. With a rich, chocolatey base (thanks to black cocoa powder) and pops of festive Halloween M&Ms, every bite is a party for your taste buds. Whether you’re hosting a monster bash or just want to treat your little goblins, these cookies are sure to cast a delicious spell!

Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 egg and 1 egg yolk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup black cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Halloween M&Ms
  • Halloween Sprinkles
  • Edible Eyes

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter and white and brown sugars. Blend together with a whisk or wooden spoon until combined.
  2. Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing everything together until completely incorporated.
  3. Now pour in the dry ingredients of flour, black cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. Fold this into the dry ingredients until a black thick dough forms. Fold in the M&M’s until evenly distributed.
  4. Cover in plastic wrap and let chill for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Once chilled, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Remove the dough from the fridge and scoop out a 2 inch ball of dough. Roll each in the halloween sprinkles and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Repeat with the rest of the dough and place some extra M&M’s on top to show through when done baking.
  8. Bake these in the oven for 12 minutes.
  9. Remove and place 2 edible eyes into each cookie. Let cool and set for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
