Copycat Starbucks Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappe

There’s something undeniably magical about sipping a Starbucks Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino in the heat of summer—icy, creamy, and bursting with nostalgic carnival flavor. But what if you could capture that same sweet, strawberry-funnel-cake bliss right at home? After a few test runs (and more than a few happy taste testers), I’m thrilled to share my ultimate copycat recipe for the Starbucks Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappe.

This recipe combines a smooth, coffee-infused frappuccino base with layers of homemade strawberry puree and the pièce de résistance: crunchy, cinnamon-sugar funnel cake “sprinkles” that taste just like a day at the fair. The secret is in the details—real strawberries, a hint of maple syrup, and a buttery-sweet topping that’s impossible to resist. Whether you’re looking to treat yourself or impress your friends, this homemade frappe brings all the fun (and flavor) of the Starbucks original, no drive-thru required!

Recipe Details

Yield: 1-2 Drinks

Equipment:

  • Blender

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

Frappuccino

  • 1 cup ice
  • ¼ cup coffee
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Strawberry Puree

  • 8 strawberries, stems cut
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Funnel Cake Sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

How To Make a Copycat Starbucks Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappe

  1. Make the strawberry first by adding the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract in the blender. Blend until everything is combined. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl add the flour, white sugar, cinnamon and salt, mixing together all the dry ingredients for the funnel cake sprinkles.
  3. Then add the softened butter and maple syrup, blending until small crumbles form. Set aside.
  4. Now make the frappuccino. In a blender add the ice, coffee, milk, maple syrup, caramel sauce, vanilla syrup and cinnamon all at once.
  5. Blend for a minute or so until the ice and ingredients have fully blended together.
  6. In your desired cup, alternate between the strawberry puree, funnel cake sprinkles and frappuccino.
  7. Start with a few tablespoons of strawberry puree, then a few tablespoons of the funnel cake sprinkles. Fill the cup halfway with the frappuccino. Then repeat with the puree and funnel cake sprinkles. Fill the rest of the way full.
  8. Top the drink with whipped cream, more strawberry puree and finish by sprinkling a bit more funnel cake sprinkles.
  9. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • Because of the sweetness in the strawberry puree and funnel cake sprinkles, the frappuccino is less sweet. If more sweet ness is desired double the vanilla syrup used in the recipe.
